THE MOTLEY FOOL (Alexandria, VA, 1999 - 2001)

Interaction Designer (throughout entire tenure)
Designed numerous customer-centric web pages for Fool.com (3.5M unique visitors per month) including online forms/surveys, article templates, and product landing pages. Assisted Design Director by managing workflow and daily web production and graphic requests. Ensured consistency in overall look/feel/branding across all parts of website. Frequently involved in website usability tests and final analyses. Key contributor to brainstorming meetings for new marketing and product ideas.

Graphic Design Coordinator
Supervised the 4-person graphic design team responsible for illustrations/graphics work for US, UK, and DE websites, desktop publishing, marketing collateral, and vendor management. Provided motivation, insight, and design direction for company. Set priorities and goals and monitored productivity and timelines for group. Ensured quality in color and image standards and brand consistency in all online and print products and ads. Excelled as ad copywriter and editor. Solidified and presented brand guidelines to company.

Online Design Project Manager
Gathered requirements from and managed expectations of project owners. Coordinated project development between multiple internal and external (domestic and international) groups. Ensured on time, under-budget project completion. Built long-standing rapport, trust, and credibility with all project owners and groups encountered. Projects of note: 3 lucrative mini-CDs for brokerage customers, the FoolMart.com (e-commerce) redesign, and a huge collaboration with NIST to put the Fool's website on CD for an intense and transportable usability study.

HRD, INC. (Alexandria, VA, 1998 - 1999)

Web and Graphic Designer
Created and maintained the HTML/JavaScript coding and online graphics of several diverse e-commerce and content websites. Gathered requirements and prepared bid proposals for potential clients' websites.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT SAN ANTONIO (San Antonio, TX, 1995 - 1998)

Webmaster
Directed the UTSA.edu WebTeam in redesigning and maintaining the 20,000 student/2,500 employee website. Advised the Web Editorial Board (University VPs) on the structure and strategic potential of the University site.

Graduate Advisor
Supervised the College of Business graduate advising team in recruiting and academically advising students. Collaborated with programmers to develop a Visual FoxPro database to monitor student data.

MARY WASHINGTON COLLEGE (Fredericksburg, VA, 1994 - 1995)

Theater Manager
Solely responsible for the technical and aesthetic maintenance of a frequently utilized 1400 seat auditorium. Directed all operations: balanced budget; scheduled events; managed performances from set up to strike; supervised 5 student aides (trained one to be my successor).
